The benefits of flouride treatments in preventing cavities in children

Fluoride varnish is a safe and easy way to help protect your childŸ??s teeth against cavities.

The United Way of Tucson in partnership with the Pima County Health Department has applied fluoride varnish to over 300 preschool children in 10 Tucson area childcare centers since January 2007.

Please check with your local County Health Department or United Way to see if a similar program exists in your community!

How to choose a toy for your child

When deciding what toy would be good for your child, ask these three questions:

1) What does my child love? Kids want to play with things they are excited about -- trains, dolls, dinosaurs, butterflies.

2) What can my child do? Kids like to play when they feel successful. If they toy requires the child to read, but the child isn't reading yet, select another option.
